Background Jobs

Background Jobs in Qualis ERP is the page where you watch the long-running work the ERP does for you, such as CSV imports, BOM cost rollups and document copies, and retry jobs that failed. Users keep working while a job runs instead of waiting on a frozen screen, and this page answers the practical question: did my import actually go through. Five summary cards count total, pending, processing, completed and failed jobs. The table lists one row per job with its ID, task, status, who queued it (or System for automatic jobs), number of attempts, and created and completed times. Column filters, date range filters and a My Jobs Only shortcut narrow the list, and the filters are kept in the URL so a view can be bookmarked or shared. A job's detail page shows its input data, queue, attempts, dates, scheduled time if any, an execution log with each step marked succeeded or failed, and the processing errors when it failed. Retry Job puts a failed job back in line as Pending. Scheduled system jobs, such as expiring lot alerts, overdue approval escalation and overdue cycle count reminders, appear here too. Administrators and data managers who run bulk imports check it most. A typical moment: after importing a large product spreadsheet, a data manager opens the job to confirm it completed or to read the error before fixing the file. Jobs are queued by other modules: CSV imports in Products Management, Suppliers Management, Clients Management, BOM & Routing, Work Centers and others, cost rollups in BOM & Routing, and copies in Document Management. Seeing other people's jobs requires the view all permission, and retrying requires the retry permission.
