Qualis ERP's Chat gives small and mid-sized manufacturers built-in messaging for one-to-one and group conversations between people in the same organization. It keeps shop floor and office questions inside the ERP, next to the records they are about, instead of in email threads or personal phone apps. The chat button in the top bar carries a red badge with your unread count. The Messages panel lists your conversations with the last message, its time and an unread number for each one, and a search box filters them by name. Starting a conversation with someone you already talk to reopens the existing thread instead of creating a duplicate. Messages support line breaks, files and images added with the paperclip or by drag and drop, and record mentions: type @ or click the mention button, pick a type such as Part, Supplier, Client, Non-Conformance or Task, search by code or name, and the record becomes a chip that opens it in one click. Opening a conversation marks it as read, new messages are checked for every ten seconds, and a search inside a thread highlights each match and steps through them. Quality engineers use it to question production about a suspect batch, buyers to check a supplier issue with a colleague, and team leads to run a group standup. A typical moment: an inspector mentions the NCR in a message to the line supervisor, who opens it straight from the chip. Participants come from User Management. Attachments are stored in Document Management with an attachment flag, so they never clutter the document library. Mentions link to records in Products Management, Suppliers Management, Clients Management, Non-Conformance Reports and Tasks.
