Document Management

Qualis ERP's Document Management module gives small and mid-sized manufacturers one shared library for drawings, material certificates, procedures and work instructions, uploaded as files or written in the built-in editor. It replaces scattered network drives with a single space where every change is versioned and the current revision is always clear. Folders nest like a desktop file browser. You upload by drag and drop, and a right-click menu lets you rename, cut, copy, move, download or delete. Copying runs as a background job. Rich text documents are written in an editor with headings, lists, links and images, and typing @ links a part, a supplier or a purchase order into the text. Each item carries a revision label such as 1 or A. Every save creates a version: the version history shows who saved and when, highlights added and removed text, and Restore brings an older version back as a new one, so nothing is erased. Search covers folder names, titles, file names and the content of documents, with matches highlighted as you type. Deleted items go to a trash where they can be restored or removed for good. Quality managers keep procedures and work instructions current, engineers file drawings and spec sheets, and buyers store supplier certificates. Operators with view access open, read, print to PDF or download what they need. You can always edit and delete documents you created yourself. Files attached to records in other modules, for example on a purchase order or an inspection, are stored here too, flagged as attachments and hidden from the library. Background Jobs runs the copy tasks, Audit Logs records each change, and Comments and Chat reuse its editor and storage.
