Products Management

Qualis ERP's Products Management module gives small and mid-sized manufacturers one item master: raw materials, components, sub-assemblies, finished products, consumables and services that every other module points to. A clean item master removes the usual shop floor problems: duplicate part numbers, the wrong unit on a purchase order, stock nobody can link back to a drawing. Each product gets an automatic product number, a name, a revision and a category. You mark it as goods or service, for sale, for purchase or manufactured in house, and track its stock by quantity, lot or serial number. A stocked product must carry an inventory unit, and its purchase and sales units must belong to the same unit category, so quantities always convert. Supplier lines hold price, lead time, minimum order and order multiple. The product also stores its costing method, packagings with barcodes, critical characteristics, shelf-life days, images and a drawing. Setting a product to Inactive blocks new sales, purchases and stock moves but still allows adjustments. Before you confirm, Qualis shows the open purchase orders, open sales orders and stock on hand that the change touches. Prices and costs stay hidden from users without the view prices permission. Engineers create and revise items, buyers maintain supplier lines, and people on the floor find a part through the searchable product selector or the visual catalog. Large catalogs arrive by CSV import, run in the background. Products relies on Units of Measure and Document Management, and reads suppliers from Suppliers Management. Inventory Levels shows stock per location on each product page, Lots / Serial Numbers follows tracked units, and BOM & Routing provides the default bill of materials for manufactured items.
