Manufacturing Orders

Qualis ERP's Manufacturing Orders module lets small and mid-sized manufacturers plan, release and run production orders, from a written order to finished goods in stock. It replaces the paper traveller and the spreadsheet that never match what the shop floor actually did. An order names the product, the quantity, the bill of material, the site and the planned dates. It moves through clear statuses: Planned, Firm, Released, In Process, Completed and Closed, with On Hold and Cancelled when plans change. Releasing an order freezes a copy of the bill of material and routing, reserves components, flags shortages and generates one work order per operation. Each work order has a time clock for labor and machine time, production and scrap reporting, material issue and output receipt. Closing an order posts the difference between planned and actual cost and locks it for good. Costing can be Average, Standard or Actual. Planners use the Material Plan tab to see whether every component will arrive in time, and raise a purchase order or another manufacturing order to cover a shortage. Operators open their work orders on the shop floor, clock in, report quantities and mark the step done. Quality teams use Genealogy Trace to follow a finished lot or serial number back to the components and orders that made it. Orders build on Products, BOM & Routing, Work Centers, Warehouses and Storage Locations, and follow the defaults set in Manufacturing Settings. A confirmed Sales Order with make-to-order lines can spawn orders automatically. With inspect-on-receipt enabled, finished goods wait in a hold location behind an Inspections record. Reported scrap can create Scrap Orders, and completed work orders advance equipment meters in Maintenance.
