Inspections
Quality
Record incoming, in-process and final quality inspections with measurements, pass or fail results and a disposition that moves held stock.
About this module
Qualis ERP's Inspections module lets small and mid-sized manufacturers record every quality check on parts and materials: what was inspected, what was measured, whether it passed, and what happens to the goods next. It replaces paper checklists lost between receiving, the shop floor and the quality office, and ties every result to the product, supplier and lot concerned. Each inspection has a type (incoming, receiving, in-process, final, first article, periodic or source), an inspector, a date and an automatic number. You record measurements against lower and upper limits, visual check items, lot and sample sizes, and accepted and rejected counts. The status moves from pending to in progress to completed, and the result is pass, fail or conditional pass. Reusable inspection plans hold the criteria, sampling plan, AQL, equipment and work instructions, and pre-fill new inspections once a plan is active. The disposition (accept, reject, rework, use as is, return to vendor or scrap) is a separate decision gated by dedicated approve and reject permissions. Quality inspectors use it at the receiving dock or beside the machine to log readings and photos. Quality managers review failed results, set the disposition and export the list to CSV for audits. When Purchase Orders receives inventory-tracked goods into a quality hold location, Qualis creates the receiving inspection automatically, and the disposition then moves the held stock: accepted goods go to stock, rejected goods to quarantine, scrapped goods are written off. With finished-goods inspection switched on, Manufacturing Orders gets final inspections that work the same way. With Non-Conformance Reports installed, a failed automatic inspection opens a draft NCR, and Notifications alerts the assigned inspector and reports completed and failed inspections.
